"Peace" !?

Yesterday we together witnessed 

most devastating form of nature  ,

Ruthlessly it extirpated everything

didn't spare any creature.

And it really didn't differentiate -

between my family and your family

your friends or my foes,

Destroyed whatever came in it's way

and left the world with woes.

And to my wonder,

it didn't even care -

for who is a sinner

and who is a good-doer. 

And who is really rich 

and who is poor.

Who is really old, 

and who is relatively young, 

or who is healthy, 

and who is sick among.

And in this most difficult time 

O dear! tell me -

Didn't you really pray,

despite being an atheist, 

Or didn't I curse God,

despite being a theist. 

At this hour of crisis,

So I came to you -

when humanity is at stake

lets not fight each other

Lets not ridicule or debate.

Lets support each other,

hold one-another's hand

Respect for everyones' emotion

become each-others' friend !! 

For that if we still fight,

no matter who wins,

who will there to enjoy

if the entire race ruins?

Because its not a question,

the future will be of what faith, 

It's a challenge to humanity,

a contest between survival and death !!
