Mockery of Public Emotions

Disclaimer: I am neither a fan of Baba Ramdev, nor Congress is in my hate-list. Of course I feel pain when I hear news about rampant corruption and black-money swayed away from India which could be very well used to make India prosper. But this blog is not about any of these issues, its' about what I noticed following a prominent news channel in India, which many of the people follow..........the question to ask is – Did media play it’s role responsibly? Did it really care about people's sentiment or tried to divert it, dilute it?

Here are last few news articles published on CNN-IBN  and its page on facebook since Baba Ramdev went on fast on black money issue - you can check it yourself on  https://www.facebook.com/cnnibn

How many of news at top you found really supporting the real cause of protest or even tried giving people hope that their protest will ultimately convert to at least something they wish for.

I can all divide the news in 3 - categories:

1. Personal attack on Baba Ramdev (and other civil society members) to mislead the people from the actual cause

2. Attack on the methods they adopt (do we have other choices) and make everybody feel that this is not going to work

3. Important News (not against Baba or movement) that they have to produce sometimes compulsively which they can't deny to publish else people

4. To play with the emotions of people and divert them from actual cause, for example this news - http://ibnlive.in.com/news/irom-sharmilas-silent-resilience-ignored/158339-3.html
Where was CNN-IBN for last 10 years?? Who the hell on earth don't know about negligence of govt. about north-east? Is IBN trying to justify that the cause Anna and Baba are fighting for is NOT that big? I do support the cause Irom Sharmila fighting for, or Syrian-American Blogger Amina Abdallah fighting for, or thousands of reasons worth fighting for, but not at cost of leaving one cause and joining to other.

Wasn't the entire purpose of the news coverages was to show that the people of India who support are  anti-corruption movement are fools and idiots, as they're not going to acheive any thing?

As a citizen of India, do I look like I care for if Baba or Anna's movement is political or social,  Baba Ramdev or Civil society members are people of bad character or thug or cheat or whatsoever, it's being backed by RSS or BJP or NGOs or whomsoever, its being supported by Babas, Spiritual people, Athiests, Aam Aadmi, Corporate people or liquor barrons.........., why should I go on analyzing the personal life of each and every person behind the movement if their actions are supporting the cause??

As Mahatma Gandhi(whom these people boast for) said - "Never judge a person, judge his actions?", so what is this hue-and-cry for? Why to mislead people, why to deviate them from the cause, why to play with their emotions? Even if they're agents of some party ( http://www.hindustantimes.com/Channel-tunnel-vision/Article1-331823.aspxhttp://hindustan.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6156http://www.nowpublic.com/world/cnn-ibn-survey-sponsored-cong ), didn't they have any Indian left at some corner??
